Julia Parker has lived and worked in Yosemite National Park for over 60 years, and has dedicated her life to educating others about the history of the valley. She is also a distinguished elder of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. Parker's work is in permanent collections of the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; the Yosemite Museum, Yosemite National Park; the Norwegian Ski Association headquarters, Oslo, Norway; the private collection of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom; and numerous other private collections. She is a world renowned storyteller and basket weaver, who shares the lifestyles of her ancestors with tourists visting Yosemite National Park.
