Student Docent Program

Mariposa Museum and History Center offers a Student Docent Program to our local youth to help provide paid work experience in the museum setting. Students learn important aspects of the workforce including work ethics, accountablity, and elements of obtaining a job such as the application and interview process. As a docent, they get a hands on experience on a variety roles including:

Customer Service

Operating the giftstore

Research

Assisting on events and fundraisers (as pictured below for the 2024 Cowboy Day)

If you are interested in applying as a Student Docent, please come by the museum to pick up a physical application. Once completed, return to the Mariposa Museum and History Center or email to officeadmin@mariposamuseum.com.
