Mariposa Museum & History Center, Inc. is now welcoming applications for our summer Student Docent Program!
Position: Student Docent
Salary: $16.50/hour
Hours: 24 hours per week
Applicants must either be currently enrolled in high school or be under 22 years old and enrolled in a college or university.

The Mariposa Museum and History Center offers a Student Docent Program to local youth, providing paid work experience in a museum setting. Students learn essential aspects of the workforce, including work ethics, accountability, and elements of obtaining a job, such as the application and interview process. As a docent, they get a hands-on experience in a variety of roles, including:

Customer Service

Operating the giftstore

Research
-
Assisting on events and fundraisers (as pictured below for the 2024 Cowboy Day)

Providing guided tours
